Kumasi: Media personality DJ Slim has publicly criticized actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, for allegedly attempting to undermine the success of fellow actor Dr Likee's headline comedy event at the O2 Indigo in London. The event took place on May 22, 2026, and has been a topic of discussion due to LilWin's remarks about its financing.
According to Ghana Web, LilWin made claims that Dr Likee's event was not self-funded and that he was aware of the individual who financed it. These comments prompted a response from DJ Slim during the 'Street Is Watching' show on May 26, 2026. DJ Slim advised Dr Likee to ignore LilWin's comments, suggesting that LilWin was merely trying to diminish Dr Likee's achievements.
DJ Slim praised Dr Likee for successfully filling the O2 Indigo Arena, noting that he is the fourth African to achieve such a feat outside the continent. He challenged LilWin to demonstrate his influence in the entertainment industry by attempting to fill the venue himself. Furthermore, DJ Slim asserted that LilWin would struggle to fill a smaller venue, such as the Prempeh College Assembly Hall in Kumasi, if he were to host a comedy special there.
DJ Slim emphasized that even if another individual financed Dr Likee's O2 Indigo show, it indicated that the investor recognized Dr Likee's appeal over LilWin. Actor Papa Kumasi, who attended the event with Dr Likee, also refuted claims of external funding, stating that Dr Likee made significant personal sacrifices, including selling his car, to ensure the event's success.
