Accra: Western North Region The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Teachers' Forum has been launched in the Western North Region to mobilise teachers aligned with the party to ensure a strong and formidable base within the region. Mr Prince Abubakar, President of the Forum, stated that the group sought to unite members of the teaching profession who supported the NDC to actively propagate the achievements and policies of the party.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Abubakar emphasized that they would play a key role in canvassing votes during electioneering periods by engaging communities and educating the public on the visions and programmes of the NDC. He noted that teachers remained influential voices in society and could contribute significantly to political education and grassroots mobilisation.
Mr Abubakar expressed confidence that the forum would strengthen the party's support base in the region ahead of the 2028 and other future general elections. Some of the members, in an interview, mentioned that they would ensure the party became vibrant at all branch levels to ensure the NDC remained in government.
