Accra: Ghanaian music group Keche has revealed their contemplation to remove their collaboration with King Paluta titled "My Father" from online platforms, following the rapper's alleged failure to support the song's promotion.
According to Ghana Web, Keche expressed their disappointment during an interview with Ola Michael on Peace FM, highlighting that the song had the potential to become a major hit. However, they were let down by King Paluta's lack of interest in promoting the track. Joshua, a member of the group, mentioned that he advised their management to take the song down from the internet, recognizing its potential as a hit.
The group recounted how King Paluta initially claimed he was unwell, which led them to delay their promotional activities out of consideration. They reached out multiple times, waiting for his recovery. Despite their efforts, Keche noticed that Paluta was actively promoting other songs while neglecting "My Father," leading them to believe he was not interested in their joint effort.
Keche also shared their surprise upon hearing King Paluta declare in an interview that he owed them nothing and that it was his time to shine. Following this, Keche released another song that quickly gained popularity without Paluta's involvement. They emphasized their ability to create hits independently, citing past collaborations with artists like Kuami Eugene and Bisa Kdei, who actively promoted their joint projects.
