Accra: Mr Kofi Delali Kasu, a former parliamentary aspirant for the Ho Central Constituency in Election 2024, is gaining support from party faithful and grassroots activists as they intensify calls for his endorsement as the next Volta Regional Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Francis Asamani, a staunch party member in Ho, expressed that Mr Kasu remains the preferred candidate due to his long-standing loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the party. Mr Asamani emphasized that Mr Kasu's devotion and commitment to the party have been evident for quite some time.
Mr Asamani also cautioned against attempts to sideline competent individuals based on financial strength, stressing that dedication, experience, and hard work should be the primary criteria for leadership selection within the party. He mentioned that it is improper to cite lack of financial strength as a reason to marginalize dedicated individuals.
Supporters who spoke to the Ghana News Agency praised Mr Kasu's dedication, consistency, and years of service to the party, insisting that his leadership qualities and grassroots appeal position him strongly for the upcoming internal elections. They emphasized that leadership is about service, vision, dedication, and the ability to inspire collective progress.
According to party loyalists, Mr Kasu possesses excellent communication and organizational skills, which have enabled him to build strong relationships across different levels of the party structure. They described him as a hardworking grassroots mobilizer whose commitment to coordination and strategic planning has earned him admiration among party members and sympathizers.
Mr Manfred Kuku, another loyalist, commended Mr Kasu for his consistency and loyalty to the NDC, noting that he had risen through the ranks of the party through sacrifice and commitment. He stated that hard work and commitment must be appreciated, and Mr Kasu is one of those individuals who deserve support in the upcoming elections.
Supporters believe that Mr Kasu's leadership would complement the efforts of the Regional Chairman, Mr Agbavitor Mawutor. They highlighted Mr Kasu's dedication to public service and political leadership, as demonstrated by his previous participation in the Ho Central Constituency parliamentary primaries in 2023.
Party faithful are confident that Mr Kasu's analytical thinking, inclusiveness, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills place him in a strong position to help reposition the party for greater success ahead of future political contests. They declared that a vote for Kasu is a vote for growth, unity, and progress, expressing optimism that his leadership would bring renewed energy and transformation to the party.
