Dr Lawrence Tetteh Advocates for Dede Ayew’s Inclusion in Black Stars for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Accra: The Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Rev Dr Lawrence Tetteh, has revealed his active campaign to include Dede Ayew in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He highlighted Ayew's role as a top player, committed to the game, with significant experience in major tournaments.

According to Ghana Web, Dr Tetteh emphasized Ayew's leadership skills, notably leading Ghana's U-20 team to victory at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt. He argued that Ayew's current form justifies his inclusion in the national team, suggesting that his presence would be beneficial for the squad.

Dr Tetteh remarked on Ghana's rich football legacy, mentioning past icons and advocating for Ayew's return to the Black Stars. He described Ayew as a motivator who embodies the spirit of his father, Abedi Pele, and urged for his inclusion to inspire and lead the younger players.

He warned against the discouragement that could result from ignoring Ayew's contributions and experience, which could be pivotal in guiding the team. Dr Tetteh expressed his intent to support the team at the World Cup and emphasized the importance of experienced players like Ayew in motivating the younger squad.

The decision to include Ayew in the national team is pending, as newly appointed head coach Carlos Queiroz has yet to announce his squad for the World Cup.
