Assin andoe: Mr Jonathan Birikorang, the Assin South District Chief Executive (DCE), has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy model market at Assin Andoe in the Central Region. The initiative marks a significant step in local infrastructure development aimed at boosting economic activity in the area.
According to Ghana News Agency, the market, once completed, will feature a comprehensive range of facilities, including a day-care centre, a restaurant, police and fire stations, a clinic, cold storage units, a lorry station, lockable shops, warehouses, and offices for market management. Additionally, there will be an improved sanitation system to support traders operating in the market.
The project will also offer round-the-clock banking services, catering to both traders and non-traders. This is expected to enhance financial activities and provide convenience to the community.
The 24-Hour Economy market is part of President John Mahama's nationwide 'resetting agenda'. This program is designed to bring the government closer to citizens by engaging with grassroots and communities and providing updates on national policies and developmental initiatives.
