Bawumia Joins NPP Leaders in Tamale for Final Rites of Salifu Adam Braimah

Tamale: Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and 2028 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has arrived in Tamale to attend the final funeral rites of the late Salifu Adam Braimah, former Savannah Regional Minister and former Salaga South Member of Parliament. He was received by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, Deputy General Secretary Alhaji Haruna Mohammed, Northern Regional Chairman Samba, along with several party officials and Members of Parliament.

According to Ghana Web, Adam Braimah passed away on April 12, 2026, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre, where he was receiving treatment. The late Braimah, affectionately known as 'Uncle Salifu,' played a significant role in the early administration of the Savannah Region following its creation, serving as its first Regional Minister under the NPP. He was also a member of the Seventh Parliament on the ticket of the NPP.
