Sunyani: The Youth Wing of the Islamic Mission Secretariat (IMS) is preparing to host its 2026 Annual Youth Camp at Bonsu in the Nkoranza South Municipality of the Bono East Region from April 2 to April 5, 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued and signed by Fuseini Alhassan, and copied to the agency, detailed that the event will feature community outreaches, capacity-building programmes, and recreational and educational competitions.
The three-day camp, themed 'Youth and Technology: Navigating the Digital Age with Islamic Values,' is anticipated to attract traditional authorities, public officials, and Members of Parliament. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, the Minister for Trade and Industry and Member of Parliament for Techiman North, is expected to address the opening session.
Other notable invitees include Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah, Member of Parliament for Techiman South; Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South; and Joseph Mensah, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North.
Also expected are Sheikh Harun Ahmed Appau, IMS National President; Alhaji Musa Asante, IMS National Chairman; Professor Mustafa Opoku, IMS General Secretary; and Sheikh Abdul Mumin, Bono Regional Manager of the Islamic Education Unit.
