Wenchi: Mr Kojo Frempong, the Election 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wenchi constituency of the Bono Region, has urged Ghanaians to transcend partisan politics in favor of genuine national patriotism. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the core values inherent in Ghanaian society, such as peace, social cohesion, community bonds, empathy, and mutual respect.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Frempong made these remarks while addressing a gathering of hundreds of Muslims in Wenchi during the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration. He highlighted that political opponents are not enemies, as all Ghanaians share a common destiny. He called on the public to remember that beyond political affiliations, they are united as one people.
Mr Frempong further advised the Muslim community to continue promoting peace and tolerance, respecting diverse political and religious views. He encouraged Muslim leaders and scholars to spearhead development initiatives that rise above political divides, aiming to build a better Ghana for everyone.
He underscored the significance of his presence at the event, stating it was a sincere gesture of love, respect, and solidarity with the Muslim community. Mr Frempong reiterated that moments like these serve as reminders of the shared values of peace, compassion, and mutual respect that bind Ghanaians together.
