Accra: Former Chief Executive Officer for NEIP, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has publicly accused Dr Callistus Mahama and Beatrice Annan of being culpable in his father's death. Nkansah claims that the two individuals, who hold positions as Secretary to the President and an official at the Jubilee House respectively, orchestrated his detention by National Security Operatives during a critical period when his ailing father required his presence.
According to Ghana Web, Nkansah asserts that his detention prevented him from executing actions that might have saved his father's life. While detained, he had already provided the security operatives with all necessary information regarding allegations he had previously made on radio, yet he remained in custody for reasons that were unclear to him.
Nkansah took to social media to express his grievances, stating that the appointees would "forever have blood on their hands" for denying him the opportunity to be with his father during his final moments. He emphasized that he does not hold the National Intelligence Bureau officers responsible, as they were merely following orders. Instead, he directed his blame squarely at Dr Callistus Mahama and Beatrice Annan, leaving their judgment to their own conscience.
