Keta: Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to promoting quality education in the region through infrastructure projects aimed at upgrading Senior High Schools. He made this pronouncement during the 73rd Anniversary and Prize-Giving Day celebration at the Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO).
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Gunu, who was the Guest of Honour at the celebration, highlighted several GETFund projects ongoing in the region, with KETASCO benefiting from a major allocation. He assured the school community that the project would be commissioned before the end of March, which is expected to significantly enhance the school's infrastructure and improve the learning environment. During the event, he also celebrated the commissioning of the newly constructed Visual Arts Department building, a legacy project generously donated by the 1963 Year Group.
Mr. Gunu commended the 1963 Year Group for their vision, commitment, and continued support to their alma mater, emphasizing that the new facility would significantly enhance practical learning and help nurture creativity and entrepreneurial skills among the students. The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, who also attended the celebration, emphasized the importance of education in national development and urged students to take advantage of available opportunities.
