Accra: The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unveiled a detailed roadmap for its upcoming nationwide reorganisation exercise, which is scheduled to span from March to September 2026. This initiative is designed to restructure the party from the grassroots to the national level through a series of strategic activities.
According to Ghana Web, the exercise will commence with a membership update and verification process. From March 1 to March 31, 2026, the party will open its doors for new members to join and existing members to renew their status. This will be followed by a verification period from April 1 to April 14, 2026, aimed at ensuring the accuracy of membership records prior to internal elections.
The NPP’s grassroots elections will kick off with Polling Station elections from May 10 to May 16, 2026. This will be succeeded by Electoral Area elections, which are scheduled for June 10 to June 15, 2026, as part of the ongoing leadership restructuring process at the local level.
The party’s reorganisation plan includes Constituency elections on July 11 and July 12, 2026. Subsequently, regional executives will be elected during the regional elections slated for August 8 to August 9, 2026. Additionally, the process extends to the party’s External Branches and Chapters, with activities scheduled from June 20 to July 19, 2026, and branch-level elections anticipated to continue into August.
The culmination of this extensive reorganisation will be the party’s National elections and conference, set for September 18 to September 20, 2026, during which national executives are expected to be elected.
