Accra: The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has sponsored three para-athletes to participate in the 2026 Dubai World Para Athletics Grand Prix, which serves as a qualifying event for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The athletes, Botsyo Nkegbe, Zinabu Issah, and Hayford Addai, are set to compete alongside their coach, Mr. Emmanuel Anum Sowah, at the four-day championship in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from February 10 to 13, 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, Zinabu Issah, competing in the F57 Women's category, will participate in the Shot Put and Discus Throw events. Meanwhile, Hayford Addai, in the T47 Men's category, will compete in the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, and Long Jump events. Botsyo Nkegbe, participating in the T54 Men's category, is set to compete in the 100 metres, 800 metres, and 1500 metres events.
