Accra: Dr Rexford Appiah-Kubi, a Theologian and author, has urged Christians to get prepared for the rapture as the current world events, from natural disasters to geopolitical tensions, point to the end times. He said Jesus made 20 predictions concerning the end times, including advances in knowledge and travel, the rise of false prophets, wars, and rumours of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, and moral decline.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Appiah-Kubi emphasized that events such as technological advancement, natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, and geopolitical tensions align with his extensive research on the signs of the end times. He shared this perspective during an interview about his book, "Building the Temple of Jerusalem, The Predictions of the End Time and Rapture."
The book provides an exploration of biblical prophecy, eschatology, and end-times theology, bridging Old Testament temple typology with contemporary world events. Dr Appiah-Kubi asserted that the current generation is at the threshold of Christ's return. For believers seeking to understand prophetic signs and prepare for the rapture, his book offers material grounded in scriptural interpretation and current affairs.
He appealed to the public to read the book, accept Christ, and maintain righteousness. In another book, "The Role of Angels in the Believer's Spiritual Warfare," Dr Appiah-Kubi writes to equip believers for victorious Christian living. It outlines the functions of various angels, including Guardian Angels for protection, Medical Angels for healing, and Archangel Michael for warfare.
Dr Appiah-Kubi noted that the book is particularly suited for believers where spiritual warfare is openly discussed and practised, offering teachings, practical tools, and encouragement to see angels as allies in the Christian journey.
