Educational Procurement and Supply Chain Officers in Ghana Advocate for Enhanced Sector Collaboration

Bolgatanga: The Educational Procurement and Supply Chain Officers Association of Ghana has made a significant call to its sister associations within the education sector to enhance collaboration, unity, and constructive dialogue. This initiative aims to improve the delivery of quality education across the nation.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Thomas Ayipala, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the Association, emphasized the importance of a united effort during the Association's maiden send-off ceremony in Bolgatanga. The event was held to honor retiring, transferred, and newly appointed members. Mr. Ayipala highlighted that collective actions are crucial for improving education quality and fostering national development, warning that isolated efforts could impede progress.

"Our heroic struggle to bring quality education to the Ghanaian child will be fruitless if we don't maintain positive collaboration, foster constructive dialogue, unity, peace, and a supportive working environment," he stated. He reminded the sister associations of their shared mission in ensuring that Ghanaian children receive quality and uninterrupted education. He stressed that fostering harmony and teamwork across professional groups is essential for progress in the sector.

Mr. Ayipala praised the contributions of retirees and officers taking on new roles, acknowledging that the Association's growth has been built on dedication, integrity, and professionalism. He also honored founding members, including Alhaji Issah Bukari, Mr. Asaa Richard, Madam Fawuzia Yakubu, and Mr. Jacob Mboheyin, for their foundational contributions to the Association's success.

Special recognition was given to Madam Fawuzia Yakubu, the newly appointed Regional School Feeding Coordinator, and Mr. Joseph Abaa, the District Chief Executive of Bongo. Mr. Ayipala encouraged them to continue upholding the standards of excellence they demonstrated within the Association.

He expressed gratitude to key education stakeholders, including former Upper East Regional Director of Education, Mr. Bright Lawoe, Madam Comfort Chirakizim, and Mr. Mathew Abaeba, for their guidance and support during critical stages of the Association's development.

Mr. John Ankum, the Deputy Upper East Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, commended the retired members for their service to the nation and urged current members to emulate their dedication for the benefit of Ghanaian children.

The ceremony gathered education officers, procurement and supply chain professionals, government officials, and members of various partner associations, all of whom pledged their ongoing support and commitment to collaboration.
