Prophet Urges Silence from Archbishop Amoako Amid East Legon Accident Controversy

ACCRA: The Head Pastor of Logos Spirit Arena, Prophet William Braham, has urged Archbishop Salifu Amoako to remain silent regarding the ongoing East Legon accident saga involving his son. Braham expressed disappointment with Archbishop Amoako’s statements during a recent church service, suggesting that such comments could lead to misunderstandings.

According to Ghana Web, during an interview on Kingdom FM, Braham advised the archbishop against making further public remarks about the incident, which involved his 16-year-old son in a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of two young girls. Braham specifically criticized Archbishop Amoako’s comments defending his son and emphasized the importance of silence during such difficult times.

Braham argued that the timing of the archbishop’s comments, which followed an apology video, was ill-considered. He highlighted that the sincerity of an apology is often judged by subsequent actions and warned that public statements could cast doubt on the genuineness of
the archbishop’s earlier apology.

The accident, which occurred on October 12, 2024, involved Archbishop Amoako’s son driving at high speed, leading to a collision that caused the other vehicle to catch fire, resulting in the deaths of two victims. Archbishop Amoako faced criticism after defending his son in a video, describing the incident as an unfortunate accident rather than a deliberate act.
