Guru NKZ Expresses Disappointment Over Lack of Attention on SRC Candidacy Announcement

ACCRA: Maradona Yeboah Adei, widely known as Guru NKZ, has voiced his disappointment regarding the lack of attention his candidacy for the University of Ghana’s Students Representative Council (SRC) presidency received, compared to the media frenzy following his disqualification from the race.

According to Ghana Web, the musician expressed his sentiments during an interview with Amansan Krakye. He noted the stark contrast in public interest between the announcement of his candidacy and the subsequent disqualification. “It’s true that when I was disqualified from the SRC race, I became so disappointed, especially looking at the effort we put into the campaign,” Guru NKZ stated. He highlighted how his initial decision to run did not generate as much buzz as the news of his disqualification.

Guru NKZ further reflected on the nature of success and failure, stating, “That should tell you that success has many fathers but failure is an orphan, so in fact, I was so disappointed when it came up that I’ve been disqu
alified.” He also pointed out that the reasons for his disqualification were not in line with the official criteria, suggesting that these issues had since been removed from the SRC constitution.
