Bamianko: In an effort to enhance public health infrastructure and outreach in Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has initiated a comprehensive health screening exercise for approximately 3,000 residents in the Evaloe-Adjomoro-Gwira Constituency of the Western Region. This event also included a health insurance renewal project, aligning with activities marking this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to Ghana News Agency, the health screening was conducted by the Healthy Campaigners Team and took place in Bamianko. The initiative is part of a broader strategy by Dr. Bawumia to bolster healthcare services across the nation, focusing on immediate health concerns and historical health records that could inform future healthcare policies. Madam Catherine Abenlemah Afeku, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Evaloe-Adjomoro-Gwira, who sponsored the event, emphasized the exercise's role in addressing the healthcare needs of the populace, thereby enh ancing their capacity to contribute to national development. She also highlighted the commitment of a future NPP government under Dr. Bawumia to prioritize healthcare delivery. Dr. Chris Adu Darko, President of the Healthy Campaigners Team, further detailed that the nationwide health initiative aims to not only address immediate health issues but also gather crucial health data for effective government response and planning.
