Accra:50 Cent Rapper and actor 50 Cent recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of marriage and friendship during an appearance on "Today with Jenna and Sheinelle."
According to Ghana Web, the topic of marriage arose after 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, performed at NBA star Tyrese Haliburton's wedding. Initially invited as a guest, he stepped in to perform when the original plan fell through. When asked if he might consider marriage, he pointed out that many successful people have significant financial losses tied to marriage and divorce.
50 Cent, who has never been married, expressed that he is not keen on marriage, stating it only makes sense when honored in God's eyes. He suggested that religious beliefs could play a role for those who consider marriage a possibility.
Despite his reservations about marriage, he was asked who might perform at his wedding if he ever decided to marry. He mentioned Jay-Z and Kanye West, noting he'd include Kanye if he wasn't banned at the time.
Currently single, 50 Cent is open to love and emphasized the importance of friendship in relationships. He believes friendship is a strong foundation, cautioning that the title 'friend' is often given too easily. For him, true friends have each other's best interests at heart, unlike mere acquaintances. He attributed the prevalence of divorce to couples neglecting the friendship aspect of their relationships.
