The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a new friendly match for the Black Stars.
As part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the GFA has disclosed in a statement that the national team will take on Nicaragua in a pre-tournament friendly on September 27.
“Ghana will play Nicaragua in an International friendly on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, to wrap up our European tour in the FIFA International window for September.
“This forms part of the team’s preparations towards the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals in November/December,” a Ghana FA statement has said.
Already, the Ghana Football Association has confirmed that there will be a friendly match against former champions Brazil.
That big game will be played on September 23.
The international friendly matches have been scheduled to help coach Otto Addo to put his team in shape for the Qatar tournament.
At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana has been drawn in Group H to face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
