Hearts of Oak have reclaimed the third spot on the Ghana Premier League table after the team’s latest draw against Bechem United.
Nicknamed the Phobians, the team from Accra today played as a guest to the Hunters in a matchday 28 encounter of the 2021/22 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
In what ensued as a difficult game for both teams at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem United took the lead in the 28th minute courtesy of a strike from Emmanuel Owusu.
Despite the setback, Hearts of Oak remained focused and pushed to restore parity in the final minutes of the first half.
Fortunately, the efforts of the visitors paid off with talented teenager Suraj Seidu finding the back of the Bechem United net with a fine effort to get the Phobians back into the game.
In the second half where both teams created some good goal-scoring opportunities, it was Hearts of Oak that could have run away with the maximum points.
Unfortunately, the team could not net the crucial winning goal and had to settle for a point at the end of the difficult contest away from home.
