Bia West District, Western North Region, Ghana – A total of 112 aspirants have filed their nominations to participate in the upcoming District Level Elections (DLEs) scheduled for December 19 in the Bia West District of the Western North Region. At the close of nominations, the district saw 96 male and 16 female candidates submitting their forms to contest across 28 Electoral Areas.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Akrofi Kubi, the Bia West District Electoral Officer, shared that alongside these candidates, 260 individuals, comprising 241 males and 19 females, have also filed to contest as unit committee members. Mr. Kubi assured that the Electoral Commission’s local office was well-prepared for the upcoming elections, noting that there were no challenges encountered during the nomination process. This election marks a significant event in the district’s democratic process, with a diverse group of candidates vying for various local governmental positions.
