Olympics beat Hearts 1-0 to end Samuel Boadu’s home unbeaten record

Great Olympics have ended Hearts of Oak’s home unbeaten run under coach Samuel Boadu after posting a narrow 1-0 victory over the side in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Since his appointment by the Phobians last season, the young tactician had always either won or earned a draw whenever his team played at home.

However, today at the Accra Sports Stadium, the story has been changed at the end of the first clash in the Mantse derby.

In a game that kicked off at 15:00GMT, Hearts of Oak were forced to do a lot of chasing as Great Olympics dominated play and caused trouble for the defense of the home team.

Eventually, after coming close a number of times, the visitors finally equalized in the 32nd minute when attacker Yussif Abdul Razak scored with a smart effort to finish off a well-worked team move.

With no answer to the goal in the remainder of the game by Hearts of Oak, Olympics bagged all three points at the end of the 90 minutes, putting a dent in the title hopes of the Phobians this season.
