Ghana international, Andre Ayew is aiming to be in the best shape before the 2021/2022 football season commences in Qatar to ensure he is able to help new club Al Sadd SC win trophies.
The Black Stars captain last month completed a move to the Qatari giants on a free transfer after partying ways with English Championship side Swansea City.
Currently, with the team in Barcelona for a pre-season tour, Andre Ayew has expressed appreciation to his new teammates for the warm welcome.
He adds that he aims to be fit and in good shape so he can deliver for the team in the upcoming season.
“I want to thank the Al Sadd SC players for the welcome they gave me. The preseason camp has been great. Now I have to get to my 100% and deliver on the field.
“We will do everything to make sure that we win trophies, and make the fans proud and happy,” Andre Ayew said as quoted on the website of Al Sadd SC.
At Al Sadd SC, Andre Ayew is working under Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez who is the head coach for the team.
So far the player has impressed the gaffer in training but still needs to continue working if he wants to cement a place in the starting eleven.
