Hearts of Oak striker set to re-sign striker Kofi Kordzie ahead of Caf Champions League campaign

Hearts of Oak are on the verge of re-signing striker, Kofi Kordzi in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old is currently unattached after ending his stay at Qatari outfit Muaither SC by mutual consent.

Kordzie was sold by the Phobians to the Qatari club prior to the start of the 2020/21 season in a deal worth $120,000.

The bulky forward started really well in the Qatar second-tier netting twice in his opening three matches but a hatrick against Mesaimeer SC early this year ensured he extended his goal tally to six in the just-ended season.

He has been recently spotted with the Phobians during their match-day and training sessions under Coach Samuel Boadu.

According to reports, the management of Hearts of Oak are in advanced talks with their 2019/20 Premier League top scorer for a possible acquisition following the recommendation of their head coach.

Hearts of Oak are beefing up their squad for the upcoming 2021/22 Caf Champions League participation.

Kordzi emerged as Hearts of Oak’s top scorer scoring six goals in 14 matches in the 2019/20 season which got truncated by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Hearts of Oak have won the MTN FA Cup and the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 21 years.
