NPP Polls: Savannah Regional Chairman tours region ahead of polling station executives election

Regional Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia on Monday, February 21, 2020 has embarked on a tour to the seven constituencies in the region.

His tour was to meet with the constituency elections committees presiding over the branch executive nomination forms and to also get first-hand information on the pace of progress ahead of the polling station executives elections.

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana made his first stop at the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency where he had an interaction with the polling station executives and prospective aspirants who are lacing up their boots to contest the various positions.

Addressing party faithfuls, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana who is widely known as Professor Kalamonia, reaffirmed his resolve to ensure that there is a fair playing field for every party faithful who expresses interest in contesting for any of the positions.

He added that as stipulated in the party’s constitution, the aspirants can be assured of getting access to the nomination forms to file their nominations to deepen democracy in their party.

He also proceeded to interact with polling station executives and other aspirants in the Bole-Bamboi constituency.

He urged the leadership of the elections committee in the constituency to ensure fairness and also find amicable solutions to the grievances of every aspirant.

Polling station executive hopefuls who initially felt disgruntled over some pertinent issues heaped praises on Prof. Kalamonia for responding swiftly to their concerns regarding the party’s register.

Prof. Kalamonia climaxed his tour with a visit to Bamboi to ascertain for himself, the party activities in that part of the Bole constituency.

He is expected to continue with the tour today, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 to the remaining constituencies in the region.
