Maranatha Power Ministries cut sod for hospital project

Accra,- The Maranatha Power Ministries International is putting up Children Specialized Clinic and a hospital at Nungua to complement governments’ efforts of providing quality healthcare for all Ghanaians.

The Church is also constructing a 5,000-seating capacity auditorium to enhance the effective propagation of the gospel.

The project which is expected to be completed in five years, is being financed through voluntary contributions and fundraising activities.

Bishop Noble Francis Afotey Odai, the Presiding Bishop, said this at the sod-cutting and the 25th anniversary celebration of the church at Nungua in Accra.

He said the church which started in 1996 with 14 members now had a congregation of 15,000 worldwide.

Bishop Odai said the church was also able to open 100 branches worldwide and supported children with yearly parties.

He said to complement government’s efforts of providing quality education, the church opened schools at Nungua, Ayi Bonte, Kojoman, and oboom all in the Greater Accra Region, Kraboa-Coaltar, and a vocational school at Dambai in the Oti Region.

The Presiding Bishop said the church within its 25 years of operation also provided 54 bore-holes for some deprived communities to help improve on their standard of living.

‘The church also offered scholarships for the brilliant, but needy students and as I speak, we have engineers and doctors”, he said.

Bishop Odai appealed to religious leaders to support the government in its developmental efforts and urged Ghanaians to contribute meaningfully to the construction of the National Cathedral.
