Ghana International, Jeffery Schlupp, is set to undergo a scan this week to know the extent of a hamstring injury he picked up while on an international break with Ghana.
Schlupp, who received a late call up to the camp for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers suffered a hamstring injury against Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The former Leicester City ace was substituted in the first half in the game that ended 1-0 for Ghana.
The Crystal Palace midfielder, who wouldn’t have featured in Ghana’s clash against South Africa due to Covid-19 restrictions, returned to London on Monday, where he will be assessed by Crystal Palace’s team doctors.
The 27-year-old has suffered a number of injuries over the past few years, and Palace faithful will be hoping the injury isn’t serious.
He was not part of the Black Stars team that suffered a 1-0 defeat on Johannesburg on Monday afternoon at the FNB Stadium.
