I will not apologize; ban me for life – Yaw Boateng Gyan tells Ghana FA

Board Chairman of Bofoakwa Tano, Yaw Boateng Gyan has unequivocally reiterated that he has no money to pay the fine meted out to him by the Ghana Football Association, adding he won’t also render any apology to the public.

Boateng Gyan, a former Black Stars Management Committee member was slapped with a two-year ban from football all related activities for some unsavoury comments made during an interview with Accra based Angel FM with a fine of Ghc5000.00.

According to the Ghana FA, Mr Boateng Gyan must also apologize for his comments on radio.

However, speaking to Kumasi based Ahomka FM, Boateng Gyan said that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) did not give him a hearing before coming out with a verdict on the case.

He adds that the FA has disrespected him with such a verdict and insisted he has no money to pay the fine.

Mr Boateng Gyan concluded that the country’s football governing body can also ban him for life because he is not ready to apologize for the comments he made on radio.
