Accra Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed believes matches between his side and Asante Kotoko is about character and not the team on form.
The matchday 31 game between the two most glamourous clubs ended with a lone goal in favour of the Phobians.
A 66th-minute strike by forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh silenced Kotoko to send Hearts of Oak to 59 points, three head of Kotoko.
Fatawu Mohammed, who was voted Man of The Match after the game spoke about the need to have a character in such a rivalry game.
“Sometimes this kind of matches it’s not about the form, it’s not about who knows how to play,” he said.
“It’s not about your form but it’s about the character and the behaviour on the field of play.
“That is why we calmed down until we got one goal.
“It’s left with three matches to play, anything can happen but we will go back to our drawing board and correct our mistakes for our next three matches,” he added.
