Anderlecht head of sport, Peter Verbeke has spoken highly of Ghana international Majeed Ashimeru following his permanent signing from Red Bull Salzburg.
After impressing during his short stay at the Belgian club in the 2020/2021 football season, the exciting midfielder has been signed on a deal until 2025.

“The Ghanaian signs a contract with Sporting until 2025. Like last season, the attacking midfielder will play with the number 18,” RSC Anderlecht announced on Friday.
Speaking on the acquisition of Majeed Ashimeru, head of sports Peter Verbeke has described him as a player with excellent passing ability.
“Despite a difficult integration due to Covid and an injury, Majeed has shown in his best moments what he can teach us.
“He has an excellent vista and passing, coupled with speed and infiltration ability, interesting qualities to give our midfield a little extra bring the following seasons,” he said as quoted on the club’s website.
Majeed Ashimeru, 23, joined RSC Anderlecht from Red Bull Salzburg. He in the past had stints with WAFA SC as well as Wolfsberger and FC St. Gallen.
The midfielder will have a key role to play for the Belgian club next season as the side aims to win the Pro League title.
