Gye Nyame Foundation donates to Grace Land Prayer Centre and Home

Awutu Okwabina (C/R)- Gye Nyame Development Foundation, a self-help project with its headquarters in United Kingdom (UK), has presented assorted items worth $5,000 to Graceland Prayer Centre and Needy Home at Okwabina, in the Awutu-Senya District.

The items include; cartons of assorted drinks, gallons of Frytol oil, disinfectants, bags of rice, boxes of canned meat, Heinz Beans, oil, toiletries, bags of sachet water, used clothing, toilet-rolls, fruits, shoes and cooked food.

Mr. Kinsley Kobina Dickson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, who made the presentation at the premises of the Home, said the donation formed part of its social obligation to support the less privileged in society.

He hoped the management of the home would continue to cater for the vulnerable children under their care because children were the future man-power of the Country who needed to be supported to become patriotic citizens to contribute positively towards national development.

The CEO emphasised the need for Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of giving to receive the Lord’s blessing, he stated.

The group later socialised, had fun and ate with the children in the home for them to feel part of the society.

Pastor Isaac Afriyie, who is in charge of the Home, received the items and expressed gratitude to the Foundation for taking the plight of the children to heart to donate the items and assured that it would bring relief to them.

He appealed to other benevolent organizations and philanthropists to also extend a helping hand to them to manage the children in the Home, for them to become good citizens in future.
