Great Olympics should be winners of Ghana Premier League – Annor Walker

Accra Great Olympics head coach, Annor Walker, believes his side deserves to win the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The two times champions started the season on a good note after recording 10 points from their opening five matches.

Great Olympics currently lie 3rd on the league log with 49 points from 31 games played.

With three matches to end the season, Coach Annor Walker believes, his side should have been run-away winners but for a few mistakes.

“This year should have been for the Olympics, it’s this year, I’m not thinking of next year,” the veteran gaffer said as reported by africa-foot.com.

“I thought this year is my year and it’s a year that I personally told my boys that it’s a year that we have to make an impact.

“Despite with the players that I had, you know they are all young players who have not tasted premiership before, Division 2, Division 1 players.

“But I blended them and thought them football and they are playing what you people are seeing.

“But in the second round I will say we lost some matches that have cost us now. If not because of that, I should be the winner of the league this year, seriously.” Annor Walker said.

Olympics will play their last three matches against Eleven Wonders at home before travelling to the Golden City Park as guest of Berekum Chelsea.

The season ends for the Wonder club with a last game against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
