Great Olympics fined GHS3,000 for breaching GFA Matchday Covid-19 protocols

Accra Great Olympics have been slapped with a fine of GHS3,000 for breaching the Matchday Covid-19 protocols set aside by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The capital-based club was dragged before the Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the Ghana Football Association for failing to adhere to the matchday protocols in a game in the Premier League.

Although the club pleaded not guilty to the charge, the Ghana FA DC has ruled against the side, insisting that their defense was not strong enough.

Found guilty of breaching Article 16(1) (b) and Article 16(2)(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, Great Olympics have today been fined a sum of GHS3,000.

“A fine of GHC 3000 is hereby imposed on Accra Great Olympics FC in accordance with Article 6 (1)(1) of the GFA Covid-19 Matchday Protocols 2.

“Accra Great Olympics is warned that any future misconduct may result in a more severe punishment,” a communique on the website of the GFA has announced.
