Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have congratulated their bitterest rivals, Hearts of Oak for winning the double at the end of the 2020/2021 football season.
Nicknamed the Phobians, the club on Sunday night defeated Ashanti Gold SC in the finals of the MTN FA Cup title via the penalty shootout in a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Courtesy of that cup triumph, Hearts of Oak have finished the season with a delightful double.
Taking to the club’s Twitter page, Asante Kotoko have congratulated their rivals for achieving the feat.
“Congratulations Hearts of Oak on winning the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup titles. See you next season,” a Tweet on the page of Asante Kotoko reads.
Meanwhile, several similar messages have been Tweeted by other clubs including Medeama SC, Legon Cities FC, as well as Elmina Sharks.
