2022 FIFA WC qualifiers: Zimbabwe poster boy Khama Billiat to miss Ghana clash on October 9

Zimbabwe will be without its poster boy Khama Billiat when the national team travels to Ghana to face the Black Stars in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on October 9, 2021.

After two matches into the qualifiers, the Warriors are bottom of Group G and in need of wins urgently to get back on track to have any chance of securing the ticket to the final phase of the qualifiers.

Next month, Zimbabwe will resume the qualifiers with a doubleheader encounter against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Although the team would have loved to have its strongest squad for both games, they will have to do without talisman Khama Billiat in the first game.

Khama Billiat will miss the clash against Ghana on October 9 due to suspension. He accrued 2 yellow cards in the matches against South Africa and Ethiopia earlier this month.

As a result, the Kaizer Chiefs attacker is suspended for the Ghana game.

The forward will however return for the second meeting on October 12 when Zimbabwe hosts Ghana.
