We have been motivated by coach Annor Walker’s Black Stars B appointment – Gladson Awako

Great Olympics captain, Gladson Awako has indicated that the appointment of Coach Annor Walker as Black Stars B head coach has given players more confidence moving forward.

The experienced tactician after impressing in the past year with the Dade Boys in the Ghana Premier League has been recognized and rewarded accordingly by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Earlier this week, the country’s football governing body confirmed that Coach Annor Walker has been appointed as the new Black Stars B head coach as he replaced Coach Ibrahim Tanko.

Speaking on the new job for the Great Olympics gaffer, Gladson Awako says it will push players to work hard to prove that the gaffer deserves the job.

“In a way, it gives us the confidence and motivates us to play for him so people will know he deserves the position,” the Olympics captain told Happy FM in an interview.

Gladson Awako continued, “We will continue to play for him so in the future if we get a call up every one will know that we deserve it not because he is our coach.”

This weekend, Great Olympics will be in action in the Ghana Premier League against Ebusua Dwarfs.
