There was three late goals scored at the Paa Kwasi Nduom Park on Sunday afternoon as Elmina Sharks showed impressive fighting spirit to beat Bechem United 2-1.
The two teams locked horns today for a matchday 10 encounter in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
With both teams fancying their chances, they set up strong but opened up play hoping to convert the chances that come their way.
At the end of an action-packed first half, the scoreline stayed barren with neither side able to find the back of the net.
In the second half, missed chances from both teams gave the impression that the match could end in a stalemate.
However, a dramatic end to the encounter produced three goals with each team benefiting from a penalty kick.
First, Elmina Sharks scored through Tahir Mensah in the 85th minute to take a deserved lead.
Later on, Bechem United star Salifu Moro converted a penalty kick to restore parity for the side. Unfortunately for the visitors, they also conceded a penalty kick in the final moments of the game.
Ishmael Hammond stepped up and smartly scored to hand Elmina Sharks a massive 2-1 win to ensure the team picked up the maximum points in the end.
