Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama Dos Santos netted his first goal for Asante Kotoko on Wednesday morning when the team thrashed Gold Coast Academy 5-1 in a friendly encounter.
The intelligent attacking midfielder joined the Ghana Premier League giants prior to the start of the 2020/2021 football season last year.
Although he has impressed since his arrival at the club, Fabio Gama had failed to get on the scoresheet in the first round of the Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Featuring for Asante Kotoko in a friendly match at Adako Jachie today, the Brazilian displayed top form and helped his team to make light work of lower-tier outfit Gold Coast Academy.
Following goals from Naby Keita and Evans Adomako in the first half, Fabio Gama increased the lead for the Premier League side in the 76th minute with a fine strike.
Later on, goals from Andy Kumi and new signing Solomon Sarfo Taylor steered Asante Kotoko to win 5-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.
The team has now made it two wins from two training matches in the mid-season break.
They will hope to maintain the form when the second round of the Ghana Premier League campaign starts in April.
