We need to find solution to score goals – Ghana captain Andre Ayew

After failing to find the back of the net in Black Stars two friendly games, Andre Ayew says the team must work to find a solution to the scoring problems.

The West African country lost to Morocco in an international friendly in Rabat by a lone goal.

However, the team failed to make amends when they host the Elephant of Cote d’Ivoire at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.

After 90 minutes of action, the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Ghana will go into the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September with an opener against Ethiopia and Andre Ayew admits they need to start scoring goals.

“The coach has done a fantastic job with the team, the preparation of the squad you could see the drive behind it,” the 31-year-old said after the game against Ivory Coast.

“So now we need to make sure that all that we are doing is we need to create chances to be able to score more goals.

“But when you don’t concede it’s already a good sign,” he added.

Ghana will play Ethiopia in the opening 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
