The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season will commence on Friday, October 29, 2021.
The last league season was climaxed in July where Hearts of Oak was crowned Champions after beating competition from rivals Asante Kotoko.
Following a wrap of the MTN FA Cup contest last weekend, the Ghana FA has already finalized a calendar for the next football season.
In a communique on the website of the association, it has confirmed the starting date of the next league campaign.
“The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of Friday, October 29 to Monday, November 1, 2021, across all the nine Premier League centres. This follows approval of the plan for the 2021-22 football season by the Executive Council.
“The process towards the kick-off of the new season begins with the Opening of Registration window of players and officials on Monday, August 9, 2021, which will close on Saturday, October 9, 2021,” the GFA communique reads.
While the Premier League will run until Sunday, June 19, 2022, the National Division One League and the Women’s Premier League are scheduled to start on November 12, and December 10, 2021, respectively.
