Accra: Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has taken to social media to lambast a netizen who ridiculed him. In a post shared on X on July 5, 2026, Stonebwoy, who appeared displeased with an earlier comment made about his post, described the individual as having a low IQ. Recently, Stonebwoy shared a post on X following the Black Stars’ defeat to Colombia, where he congratulated goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi for his performance during the game.
According to Ghana Web, the dancehall artiste expressed that Ati Zigi’s contribution prevented Ghana from conceding more than one goal. He stated, ‘That defeat would have been more humiliating than 1-0 if not for Ati Zigi. You did this for Ghana. You are highly appreciated.’
Following Stonebwoy’s post, a netizen claimed that the musician was only supporting Ati Zigi because goalkeeper Benjamin Asare is a staunch fan of Shatta Wale. The netizen wrote, ‘Clearly, this guy is only supporting Ati Zigi because Benjamin Asare is SM. Such a low-self-esteem move.’
Stonebwoy, who was not pleased with the comment, replied by referring to the netizen as a ‘nincompoop.’ He further described the netizen as a low-minded person who had been brainwashed, stating, ‘Such a low-IQ tweet. Another brainwashed ‘Nii Come Poop’ activist.’
