Accra: Rev. Mrs. Patricia Akpene Tegbe-Agbo, National Coordinator of the Women's Ministry of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), has called on women to boldly proclaim the message of Christ and live lives that reflect faith, compassion, and integrity. She emphasized the significant responsibility women of faith have in influencing families, churches, and communities positively while preparing the world for the second coming of Christ.
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo made these remarks in a message to mark International Women's Day, celebrated globally on March 8 each year. The day honors the achievements of women and reflects on their role in advancing social, economic, and spiritual development. She congratulated women across Ghana and members of the Global Evangelical Church worldwide for their strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions to society and the Christian faith.
Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo highlighted that the celebration provides an opportunity for women to reflect on their divine calling and responsibilities in shaping the future. 'God has entrusted women with influence in families, churches, communities, and nations. Through our voices, actions, and faith, we shape the future and nurture generations,' she expressed.
She further explained that the theme of the church's women's ministry, 'Preach Christ and His Second Coming,' serves as a reminder of the sacred mission of Christian women in a world facing uncertainty, conflicts, and moral challenges. She emphasized that the message of Christ remains the greatest source of hope for humanity, urging women to rise with courage and conviction to proclaim the love, salvation, and lordship of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo noted that preaching Christ extends beyond sermons delivered from the pulpit, stressing that Christian women must also demonstrate their faith through their daily conduct. 'Our homes, workplaces, markets, schools, and communities must become places where the light of Christ shines through our compassion, integrity, service, and unwavering faith,' she stated.
She also urged women to remind the world of the promise of Christ's second coming, describing it as a source of hope that should inspire believers to live holy and purposeful lives. 'This glorious hope should inspire us to serve faithfully, live righteous lives, and prepare others for His return,' she said.
Encouraging women of the Global Evangelical Church and Ghana to remain steadfast in their faith, she emphasized their roles in nurturing families, supporting communities, and advancing the mission of the church. Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo affirmed that women's voices and contributions are essential to spiritual and social transformation. 'Your voice matters, your ministry matters, and your witness matters,' she declared.
She concluded by praying for strength and divine guidance for women to fulfill their God-given responsibilities and urged them to remain united in faith and commitment to spreading the message of Christ to the world. She also wished all women a meaningful International Women's Day celebration.
