William, Kate and Children Attend Easter Service with Royal Family at Windsor

Windsor: Britain's Prince William, Princess Kate, and their children joined the royal family for the traditional Easter service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. This marked their first appearance at the event since Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis. According to Ghana News Agency, the family was among senior royals, including King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who attended the Easter Matins service. William waved to the large crowd gathered outside the castle as he led the procession with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Charlotte donned a tan coat, while Kate wore an off-white skirt, jacket, and leafy hat. William and the boys were dressed in dark blue suits and ties. Queen Camilla arrived wearing a red wool dress and coat by Fiona Clare, complemented by a hat from Phillip Treacy and a brooch that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II. More than 100 people gathered outside Windsor Castle, some with banners and flags. A young boy was even dressed as a King's Guard. The prince and princess of Wales had missed last year's service due to family commitments in Norfolk and were absent in 2024 following Kate's emotional video message about her preventative chemotherapy. King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived by car, greeted by cheers of 'God save the King.' At the service's conclusion, Queen Camilla received a posy of flowers from 10-year-old Kit Bannan amidst applause from the crowd. Enthusiastic onlookers expressed their admiration, with some having traveled from Germany, Hungary, Northern Ireland, and Cumbria. King Charles fondly recalled his memories of Hungary and acknowledged a man's gratitude for his support of the Jewish community in the UK. After the service, the Wales family waved to the crowd, receiving warm Easter greetings. Notably absent were Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who had arranged alternate plans with the king's approval. Last year, Charles and Camilla were accompanied by Andrew, the former Duke of York, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Since then, Andrew was stripped of his titles due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein and later faced arrest for misconduct. Princess Anne and Prince Edward, Charles' siblings, were present, though Edward's wife, Sophie, was absent due to illness, as reported by the Press Association. Beatrice and Eugenie, who retain their titles as princesses, joined the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham and are expected to participate in future family celebrations.
