Vincent Assafuah Challenges NSA Titles in US Embassy Communication

Sanaa:Vincent Ekow Assafuah, Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, has raised concerns about the representation of National Sports Authority (NSA) officials to the United States Embassy with allegedly incorrect titles.

According to Ghana Web, Assafuah highlighted that an email signed by the NSA's Chief Operations Officer, Yaw Gyamfi Kusi, and sent to the US Embassy, incorrectly identified certain individuals with specific NSA positions. Assafuah claims that these individuals did not hold the roles attributed to them at the time.

Among those named were Fuseini Lukman as the Northern Region Coordinator and Ekow Hayford under Sports Development. Additionally, Francis Owusu and Felicia Ahiadome were presented as Procurement Officers. Comfort Ahiadome was identified as the Board Secretary, a position that Assafuah claims was not officially filled at the time.

Assafuah questioned the rationale behind presenting individuals under unverified titles to a foreign embassy, particularly when Mavis Quainoo was serving as the acting Secretary to the NSA Board. The MP suggested that this incident raises broader issues about the NSA's internal processes and the accuracy of the information shared with international entities.
