Beposo: A gory accident at Dwansa Junction in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region has claimed two lives, with one other person in critical condition. The head-on collision involved two motorcycles, one traveling at top speed from the Beposo area and the other carrying two passengers from Nsuta.
According to Ghana Web, the unfortunate incident occurred around 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, with fatalities reported on the spot and one person seriously injured. The motorbikes were destroyed beyond recognition due to the level of damage.
Assembly Member for Beposo East Electoral Area, Samuel Kodua, stated that the motorbike traveling from Beposo to Nsuta veered into the lane of the oncoming motorbike from Nsuta, causing the tragedy. He reported that the rider of the motorbike from Beposo to Nsuta died at the scene, while one of the two passengers from Nsuta died upon arrival at the hospital, leaving the other critically injured.
Kodua noted that this is not the first time such an accident has occurred on the road stretch from Beposo to Mampong since its reconstruction.
