Accra:Twellium Industrial Company Limited has expanded its manufacturing presence from Ghana to a regional network that includes Burkina Faso and Senegal. The company has strengthened its position in West African markets by combining beverage production, packaged food offerings, and distribution.
According to Ghana Web, Twellium has gained recognition for products such as Verna Mineral Water, Rush Energy Drink, and McBerry confectionery. The company's growth reflects significant investment in manufacturing facilities and an expansion into a broader range of consumer products.
Founded in 2013 by Hussein Kesserwani and Hassan Kesserwani, Twellium began its operations in Ghana in 2014. Ghana continues to serve as the base for its beverage and packaged-food operations, with manufacturing facilities located around Accra and Kumasi. The company's product range has expanded beyond water and non-alcoholic beverages to include biscuits, wafers, cookies, and cakes.
Twellium's Kumasi facility has augmented its beverage manufacturing capabilities in the Ashanti Region, supported by advanced equipment that allows for the production of 80,000 bottles per hour for water lines and 65,000 bottles per hour for carbonated soft drinks. In Burkina Faso, the factory at Samagan near Bobo-Dioulasso includes beverage production and facilities for manufacturing bottle preforms and caps, as well as carbon dioxide production. Meanwhile, the operation in Senegal, located in Sindia, focuses on local production and distribution, building on earlier export activities.
Twellium's product portfolio includes a diverse range of beverages and packaged foods. The company introduced McBerry in 2019, expanding into biscuits and confectionery, and has also launched Dairy One, which includes Choco Milk Drink, Soy Milk Drink, and Choco Soy Milk Drink. The Ghana Export Promotion Authority lists several West African countries as destinations for Twellium’s export products, including mineral water, soft drinks, and energy drinks.
Twellium has also been recognized for its quality management, receiving ISO and HACCP certifications, and has established a wastewater treatment plant to ensure environmental compliance. The Twellium Foundation supports community initiatives focused on education and youth skills development, among other areas.
In 2026, Twellium was honored at the Ghana Manufacturing Awards with three recognitions, including Most Innovative Company of the Decade, Water Producing Company of the Year, and Confectionery Producing Company of the Year. These awards highlight Twellium's development through manufacturing investment, product expansion, and regional distribution across West Africa.
