West Palm Beach:US President Donald Trump cast his ballot on Saturday, ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, visiting a polling station in Florida with first lady Melania Trump. The president voted in person in West Palm Beach, near his Mar-a-Lago estate, where he was spending the weekend.
According to Ghana News Agency, after casting his ballot, Trump wore an 'I Voted' sticker on his lapel. Trump has advocated for stricter rules on postal voting ahead of the midterms, arguing that the changes would help prevent electoral fraud.
The upcoming elections will determine control of Congress for the remainder of Trump's presidency. Trump's Republicans are aiming to defend their narrow majorities in both chambers of Congress. Polls suggest that Democrats have a strong chance of winning control of the House of Representatives. Although flipping the Senate is considered more challenging, as only about one-third of its seats are up for election, a change in control is still possible.
