TriBe Culture Fest and Ghana Tourism Authority Collaborate to Enhance 2026 World Cup Experience

Accra: TriBe Culture Fest, an international sports, culture, and tourism platform, has partnered with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to roll out a nationwide initiative aimed at bringing the 2026 FIFA World Cup experience to fans across all 16 regions of Ghana. According to Ghana News Agency, the project, dubbed "16 by 16", aims to establish three high-quality viewing centers in every region, offering supporters a chance to watch live matches, participate in cultural activities, and engage in commercial activities. Other partners of the initiative include the National Sports Authority, the Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG), and the Africa Centre for Hospitality Aviation and Tourism. Nana Boateng Gyimah, the Chief Executive Officer of TriBe Culture Fest, stated that the goal was to bring the World Cup "to the doorstep of all Ghanaian fans" through community-based activations including soccer clinics, watch parties, and exhibitions, both local and international. He emphasized that the initi ative is not only about football but also about promoting the country's culture, food, and music to attract visitors. Maame Efua Houadjeto, the Chief Executive Officer of GTA, highlighted at the launch event in Accra that the initiative aims to create a national shared experience. She explained that the project is dedicated to those who cannot travel to the World Cup, ensuring they feel part of the celebrations. The activation aligns with GTA's strategy to position tourism as a driver of cohesion and economic opportunity. Mr. Anthony Baffoe, PFAG's General Secretary, expressed support for the initiative, describing it as an opportunity to rally support for the Black Stars. He emphasized the importance of supporting the team as the World Cup approaches and wished them success in their upcoming friendlies. As part of the launch, TriBe Culture Fest unveiled a new World Cup information space at the Accra Sports Stadium, where fans can obtain details on tickets, accommodation, and ground arrangements for the to urnament. The event concluded with a live screening of Ghana's friendly match against Austria, which drew large crowds.
