The show of unity and energy at the congress means NDC is in for victory 2024 – Elvis Afriyie Ankrah

General Secretary aspirant in the just-ended NDC 10th National Delegates’ Congress, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, says the spirit of determination exhibited at the event is an indication of the party‘s readiness for victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The kind of energy, excitement and unity at the congress grounds, he said are positive signs as they are set to stop the ruling NPP from “breaking the 8.”

“Congratulations to all Party faithful for the successful organization of our National Delegates’ Conference, the highlight of which was the election of a new National Executive for our party.

“The show of unity at the Congress, the excitement of the Delegates, and the Energy on display are ample manifestations of our motivation to go into the next electoral battle and win it for our Party and Mother Ghana,” the former sports minister said in a statement.

The defeated General Secretary aspirant congratulated the winner of the race, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey and promised to be at his call for the common good of the party.

“I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey on his election as the General Secretary of our great Party.

“Let us all rally behind my Brother Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey and the new National Executive, giving them all the requisite support, they need, to prepare our party for electoral victory in 2024 to rescue our beloved country from the doldrums into which this under-performing NPP administration has plunged it,” the statement said.

On his defeat, Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said, “I am grateful to the Delegates who voted for me but as the results indicate, the majority gave their mandate to Fiifi. The people have spoken, and I accept their verdict.”
